I remember very clearly my first foray into the ’Art’ world, I was looking for a Christmas present for my husband. Strolling around Stratford, looking for inspiration, I saw an image smiling at me from a Gallery window.  A little apprehensively I ventured through the door; I had never been into a Gallery before!  The piece that had captured my imagination was ’When I fall in love’ by Mackenzie Thorpe.  Needless to say I bought it.

From then on, we both became hooked, hunting for limited editions and originals.

A number of years later our tastes changed so we decided to sell a few of our pieces and also to extend our collection with other artists. We did approach Galleries, but some were a little reluctant to sell on our behalf, and for us, auction web sites didn't appear to provide the highly personalised service we were looking for. This gave us the idea of providing such a service and Art a la Carte was born!

We are a small and friendly group of people providing a very personal buying and selling service.  Art a la Carte focuses primarily on collectable contemporary art. We have an ever-growing register of like-minded collectors all searching for key pieces, selling or even swapping their art.
